Beth began to make a team of amateur wrestling in a school in New York. It was the first woman to enter this school. He became North-East freestyle women's champion in 1999 and women's champion at the New York State Fair Tournament the same year. After graduating in a new ent wrestling school where he was coached by Joey Knight and Robin Knightwing. His professional debut was against Mickie James.

In 2004 Beth became manager Brent Albright and Chris Masters in Ohio Valley Wrestling, but broke his hand in October and during his convalescence he went to WWE Chris Masters "abandoned." Beth joined forces with Aaron "The Idol" Stevens in March 2005. Beth Stevens and combat against Danny Inferno and Trudi DeNucci in the first Jersey Shore street fight being defeated. Fighting for Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW) Beth had her first match in a tag team with where Shelly Martinez defeated Serena and Fuji Cakes. Beth Martinez both were placed under contract by SmackDown! in December 2005 and appeared the first time January 28, 2006 in WWE HEAT along with the Heart Throbs. The two were purchased in February from Raw where Aaron Stevens accompanied to the ring. No longer used all'OVW returned.
2006 WWE Beth Phoenix debuted on May 8, 2006 in Raw attacking Mickie James during a match against Trish Stratus and the two became allies into account the James. Beth Mickie said to hate because in the past "would have ruined my life." On May 29, Beth struggled along with Torrie Wilson against Victoria and Candice Michelle, Trish Stratus and Mickie James with the corners of the ring, winning the match. On June 5, during an episode of RAW was broadcast from Pittsburgh won a match against Victoria, but he broke his jaw and was forced to remain outside the ring for two months. On June 12 to Todd Grisham Mickie announced that she and Beth were classmates before Beth started to "become miserable."

In 2007 Beth Phoenix returned to RAW taking the place of Melina in a Divas Tag Team Match next to Jillian Hall v Mickie James and the Women's Champion Candice Michelle, it was the champion in your team to win, but at the end of the meeting was attacked by Beth.
At SummerSlam 2007 Beth won a Divas Battle Royal to earn the role of challenger first Women's Champion. At Unforgiven 2007 challenged Candice Michelle in a match valid for the title, but was unable to win. A No Mercy 2007 was able to defeat Phoenix and Candice to win the belt.
